Hand Crafted Leather Vase | Donated by: Meg Leader

Meg has been working with leather for over 50 years making everything from simple belts and wallets to unique artisan pieces like this vase. This vase is hand-carved leather wrapped around a glass center. The flower design on the leather is based on more traditional western leather carving reminiscent of pieces from the last two centuries. The artwork has been painted with subtle colors to highlight the flowers and greenery and then stained to bring out the depth of the carving. The vase is signed and dated by the artist.
