The National Conservation Foundation (NCF) is asking for your support in the development of the next generation of conservation leaders.
NCF has set a goal of raising $25,000 this spring.
The National Conservation Foundation (NCF) is asking for your support in the development of the next generation of conservation leaders.
In recent years, NCF has strengthened its organizational identity and purpose by increasing program support, refocusing our mission and vision statements, developing a strategic plan, launching a new logo and website and introducing a new cornerstone program with the Next Generation Leadership Institute (NGLI).
With past support, NCF was able to create and implement the NGLI, which is now in its second year. The program and its curriculum is helping to grow the next generation of conservation leaders by selecting cohort members from diverse background and equipping them with skills and resources related to personal, civic, and organizational leadership development.
Through your support, NCF has also continued to run its Envirothon program, a problem-solving competition that builds leadership experience. Its mission is to educate students about the environment and conservation of natural resources through hands-on outdoor experiences, academic study and collaborative competitions. The program is now in its 43rd year, which speaks to its continued success. The program winners are rewarded with scholarships, encouraging their continued education into conservation.
The 2022 NCF-Envirothon was hosted by the Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Conservation Districts and was a huge success with 40 teams from across the U.S. and Canada participating. We are expecting an even higher turnout in 2023 and are thrilled to have the Envirothon New Brunswick hosting the 2023 competition in Sackville, New Brunswick from July 23-29, 2023.
Every contribution matters!
