Stacey Conly

Saline Soil and Water Conservation District, Louisiana

Stacey Conly, of Ringgold, Louisiana, has been passionate about conservation since her grandfather, the founder of the National Association of Conservation Districts, instilled the idea in her at a young age. She currently serves a seven-year term as the Saline Soil and Water Conservation District chair.

Stacey comes from a family of conservation leaders. Her grandfather, aunt, uncle, and father have served as Saline SWCD board supervisors and chairs, teaching the younger generation about a “love for the land.”

Stacey became interested in NGLI due to her family's legacy. She wanted to learn more about NACD and continue her family's tradition of involvement at the national level. During the next year, as a member of the 2025 NGLI Cohort, Stacey is excited about the opportunities ahead and the connections she will make. This experience has inspired her to return to her district and motivate them to do more. She hopes to start reaching out to schools and continue her family's tradition of inspiring the next generation to love the land.

When Stacey isn’t continuing her family’s legacy of advocating for conservation, she can be found riding her motorcycle, taking pictures, crabbing with her family on Labor Day weekend, and spending time with all her “critters.”
